For some parts, laser cutting can be the most economical and fastest way to provide parts. Microphoto provides laser cutting for metal parts or a combination of photo etching and laser cutting. The combination of photo etching and laser cutting produces parts with surface-etched functional detail or script and graphics.
The fabrication process begins with surface details being etched to specification on sheets of metal. After this, the sheets are then fixture registered to the laser bed for precise laser blanking. Parts can then be paint-filled and surface-finished to produce finished parts such as equipment faceplates.
Microphoto offers laser cutting with both 3-axis and 5-axis machinery and in a variety of metals. Note that Nitrogen assist gas can be used for Stainless Steel and Aluminum cutting to improve edge conditions so the parts can be welded without further processing.
Our two-dimensional 3-axis machine cuts up to 4000 watts with a sheet size up to 60” x 120”
Our three-dimensional 5-axis machine cuts up to 2000 watts with sheet sizes up to 120” x 60” x 40”
